Alliant Wealth Advisors is an "essential business" under Virginia state law and we remain fully operational during the COVID-19 crisis.

To keep our clients, staff and colleagues safe we are currently holding all meetings via video conferencing. And we are alternating a small number of staff in our office while the majority serve you from their home.

Speaking of our office. Our headquarters in Prince William will relocate to the Signal Hill Professional Center at 9161 Liberia Avenue, Suite 100, Manassas, VA 20110 effective Monday, April 20, 2020.

Our Process

Alliant Wealth Advisors’ client processes are systematic and thorough, designed to provide consistent, high-quality results for those we serve. Each private client participates in a thorough consultative process that is tailored to their wealth and complexity level. For retirement-plan sponsors, our process has proven effective at identifying and satisfying a comprehensive range of needs and goals.

An important note: Throughout our client relationships, we coordinate closely with our clients’ outside relationships. These may include a family’s other financial experts, such as their bankers, accountant, and estate planning attorney, as well as their adult children or parents. For businesses, we work seamlessly with their retirement plan’s other service providers, including record-keepers and third-party administrators. We strive for seamless coordination, with no gaps in service.

  • Wealth Stewards

    Our Wealth Steward clients have the highest level of financial complexity. They often include business owners, real-estate investors and those with a high level of investable assets, challenging family dynamics and other complex financial situations. They receive sophisticated, comprehensive planning, as well as investment management and continuing guidance and consultation.

    Step 1: Discovery—Learning about your values, goals, relationships, net worth, interests and existing advisors. This process lays the groundwork for comprehensive wealth management, including investing. The information we gather will help us create the most efficient, effective and risk-proof strategies to help you achieve your financial goals.

    Step 2: Investment Plan—We present an investment plan tailored to your situation and goals. Its cornerstone is the Investment Policy Statement, which outlines your investment goals and describes the strategies that we will use to achieve these goals.

    Step 3: Mutual Commitment Meeting—We decide whether to move into a formal relationship with each other. If we agree to do so, we then begin implementing your investment plan, and overseeing implementation of our other wealth-management recommendations.

    Step 4: Organization and Advanced Planning—In this stage, we begin sharing your client profile with expert partners, including lawyers, accountants and bankers—to help devise advanced-planning solutions. Areas of advanced planning include:

    Step 5: Regular Progress Meetings—We monitor the implementation of our recommendations, as well as the progress of your investment portfolio. We communicate your progress clearly to you at regular intervals and provide ongoing advice.

    Our Accomplished Wealth Builder clients have gathered substantial assets, and are ready for professional guidance in using that wealth to meet well-defined life goals such as a comfortable retirement.     Our Emerging Wealth Builder clients are in the earlier stages of wealth accumulation.     Our corporate clients are seeking an expert, objective and capable partner to design, implement and help maintain their 401(k) retirement plans—and to help their employees make the most of this important benefit.

    Our relationship starts with discovery, plan diagnostics and design, and a full proposal prior to formalizing our service agreements. The next phase of the process includes:

    • Creating an Investment Policy Statement
    • Conducting compliance training
    • Providing an enrollment presentation

    We continue to work closely with our retirement-plan clients for the entire length of the relationship. That includes ongoing servicing as well as annual meetings with the investment committee, and to review compliance and the client’s strategic plan. In addition, we deliver ongoing participant support in the form of education, model investment portfolios and practical assistance.
